Editorial Policy

Stackvice is an independent IT review and advice publication. Every product recommendation on this site is based on hands-on research, technical evaluation, and real-world testing criteria — not on advertiser relationships or affiliate commission rates.

How We Evaluate Products

We assess tools across five weighted criteria:

  • Security and Privacy — encryption standards, audit history, data handling practices, independent certifications
  • Performance — speed benchmarks, reliability, resource usage, and real-world usability
  • Features — depth of functionality relative to price point and stated use case
  • Ease of Use — setup complexity, interface clarity, documentation quality, and support responsiveness
  • Value — pricing relative to competitors, free tier availability, and total cost of ownership for individuals and small businesses

Each product receives a score from 1–10 based on these criteria. Scores are assigned independently of affiliate relationships.

Affiliate Relationships

Stackvice participates in affiliate programs. Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them at no additional cost to you. A full disclosure appears at the top of every article containing affiliate links.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial recommendations. Products are recommended because they are genuinely good — not because they pay higher commissions. We link to non-affiliate product pages where appropriate.

Content Authorship

Articles on Stackvice are researched and written by Derek Strand, an IT professional with 15 years of field experience. AI tools are used to assist in research aggregation and drafting; all content is reviewed and verified for accuracy before publication.
